| Instrument Repair Service was established in 1948. The main function at that time was the repairing of speedometers from cars and commercial vehicles. Howard Glover purchased the company in 1969 and has developed the business to suit more specialised needs of the motor industry. In 1989 he achieved accreditation to ISO9000 and was granted the first licence in the U.K. to repair tachographs. Today, Instrument Repair Service employs about 30 people, who carry out various specialist tasks and who are able to respond to the new challenges that come from an ever more technically based industry. |
